Healthy eating workshops

In each workshop, the trainer talks a little about healthy eating in general, and then we prepare 4-5 different recipes together according to the topic. The dishes are prepared in groups of 2-3, so all participants can get involved. We present and taste the prepared dishes together.

Healthy eating workshops for adults

Reval-Sport Center has a lecture room with a kitchenette, where various nutrition workshops, practical lectures and trainings take place. We can help you organize various company events, seminars and motivation days.

What does a healthy eating workshop include?

  • All the raw materials needed
  • Training materials
  • Recipes
  • Kitchen use and tasting

Why participate in the workshop?

Nutrition is a topic that is constantly being discussed. What is healthy? Should you only eat chicken and broccoli to get visible abs? Can you eat potatoes? Does consuming oil and other sources of fat make you fat? We are in a constant information storm where it is very difficult to maintain a critical mind.

However, losing or maintaining weight is actually like simple elementary school math. If you eat less than you burn, you lose weight, and if you eat more than you burn, you gain weight. However, you don't need to carry a calculator around in your pocket to calculate and track your daily calorie intake - we have a smartphone and various apps that do all the math for us.

To keep your calorie intake under control, you need to understand the composition of different foods and monitor your portions. The key to success in losing and maintaining weight is planned and conscious action. We will learn how to do all this in the training!

Healthy eating workshops consist of three parts:

1. Theoretical part

The first part is a nutrition lecture, which introduces basic information about a balanced and healthy diet and how to make the best choices on a daily basis that would support your goals and help maintain the results you have already achieved. According to the topic of the specific workshop, we will, for example, calculate your expected daily calorie intake or review what changes you could make to your daily menu in order to achieve real results, for example for permanent weight loss.

2. Practical part

The second part is practical joint cooking. Together with the trainer, 4-5 different recipes corresponding to the topic are made, focusing primarily on the taste of the food. Good and healthy food does not have to taste boring or bad. The goal is to show that even balanced food can surprise with its flavors and offer an experience! The dishes are prepared in groups of 2-3 people, so all participants can get their hands dirty.

3. Tasting

At the end of the workshop, you will enjoy homemade food, get feedback on the recipes, and have the opportunity to ask and discuss with the trainer how or what to replace certain ingredients with, so that you can take home an approach that suits you. All participants will receive materials and recipes.

Sample topics for healthy eating workshops:

“Breakfasts and daily energy needs”

The workshop focuses on a nutritious and balanced breakfast. What to eat for breakfast and how to put together a healthy and tasty breakfast that will keep you full for a long time? The theoretical part of the workshop includes calculating the participants' expected daily calorie intake.

Have you ever wondered why, when, and whether you should eat breakfast? Could the first meal of the day be at lunchtime? How much should you eat to achieve anything or make changes to your body? If you have no more ideas about what to make for breakfast besides sandwiches or what a quick, easy, and delicious breakfast is, then this breakfast workshop is just for you.

“Lunch Meals and Important Macronutrients”

The main focus of the workshop is on healthy and balanced energy-rich lunches. Depending on whether your daily work is sedentary or mobile, what time of day you usually have lunch, whether your overall goal is to lose or gain weight, and how long your lunch should provide you with energy, we will make it clear what your meal should consist of.

The workshop will discuss macronutrients - we will explain what macronutrients are and how to take them into account in a balanced diet. How much and in what ratio should you consume macronutrients to achieve your goals, and how to actually take them into account when (pre-)preparing lunch.
